Gui | Metal Turtle

Gui, the turtle, is associated here with Metal in the Five Elements and has long been counted among China's Four Spirit Creatures.

In traditional belief, the turtle connects heaven and earth and understands yin and yang. It has served both in divination and as a guardian spirit. Long-lived, quiet and steadfast, it reflects Metal's associations with integrity and protection. Its shell is firm; its composed presence recalls a person of principle.

On a desk or tea table, it carries wishes for health, longevity and peace: a tranquil home, gentle years, and blessings passed down through time.
